We partner with parent-teacher associations (PTAs) and school administrators to offer Spanish language classes outside of school hours, providing an enriched learning experience. This way, we address the gap between the end/start of school and the end/start of the business day for working parents, while maximizing the opportunity to expose children to a new language and culture.
After-school activities, and language learning in particular, provide a host of benefits to children:
School and district administrators have a difficult job. Improving overall performance is paramount. However, current accountability metrics can lead communities to forget that educating the whole child goes beyond standardized testing results. Through this program, families can access skills development opportunities that schools do not have time or resources to do, such as dual language initiatives.
School leaders can make a difference, enabling a vibrant and differentiated learning offering by partnering with domain experts like us to aid in accomplishing the mission to educate the “whole child” that can excel in today’s world. Moreover, language learning’s unique and highly desirable outcomes support many aspects of childhood development including academic, social and emotional growth. This is a win/win for the entire community!
